One specific piece that I felt was very valuable was Wonder Women “Why must women stand divided? Building the walls that tear them down” (Moraga). This taught me to accept others especially other women. Instead of tearing one another down we need to embrace our shared commonality as women standing united together rather than divided. I have learned that I need to stop building walls that are only serving to insult further and add to injury. It also made me recognize the similarities amongst myself and other women. Although we are all different in our experiences, wealth, race, class, and culture we share many things such as having hopes, dreams, and ambitions.
