My body was frozen, tears coming down my eyes. I was left speechless as the doctor came into the room. My story is one of a kind. One that many of us hate to experience, or even dreed for the day to come. There is a time in life where we have to make decisions that we might not want too, but we know have to be made, even though that decision will change your life forever. My family and I had to make a decision, a very difficult one that has changed our lives permanently. It all started in December of 2015, my family and I were on our usual vacation to Mexico to visit my mother’s mom, our grandmother. We were all having a great time like we always do, my parents, my sisters and I along with my grandparents, staying up late drinking coffee, catching up and talking about old times. Then, my father started getting more and more tired every day. I asked him. “Dad, are you feeling ok?” he would tell me, “No son but don’t worry I’ll be fine”. Well as the days went by he kept getting even more tired and feeling weak. He went to a local hospital to run some test and they noticed he had very white blood count. The doctors in Mexico recommended him to head back home to Houston and go to a hospital to do further exams. The next thing you know, we were on our way home to Houston. The very next week after arriving home, my father went to Memorial Herman Hospital. The doctors ran extensive test and came to a conclusion that my father might have a very dangerous form of Leukemia. That…
