Honestly, I'm not well liked just since I try to respect my directors time unlike others, but that neither fazes me nor discourages me. Yes, it can be difficult working with people who have different ideals as you, or makes getting through the shows tough, but it's life. Just like life, theatre is about putting a mask on and going out into the world, sometimes pretending to be someone they're not. When I go out on that stage, I pour my heart and soul out into every character I play, falling in love with each show, each character as I allow myself to put my heart on my sleeve as I allow judgement from the audience or whoever is out there. The same is for life itself. For one to get through life, they must tolerate their surroundings but it doesn't mean they don't have a choice. Life can be bearable by doing something that you love. Of course there are obstacles in both life and theatre, but I believe that the hardships with cast-mates, directors, and other issues have lead me to be prepared for the way the world can be. Yet, it has also allowed me to help others that are in pain. After wearing a mask for so many years and only now allowing my actual face to be shown, I've known all too well what hides inside the masks my fellow cast-mates would wear. Therefore, I would not let them suffer alone nor ignore trying to help them. Any action as simple as a smile, hug, or words of gratitude is enough to help someone when they are at their worst, which is why I believe that theatre has helped me choose child and adolescent psychiatry and has motivated me to work hard so I can finally help
