Being so new to cinematic arts, I was very tentative to share ideas from my sheer lack of experience compared to the rest. It was then that I realized that my theatre and on camera acting background helped my directing my actors. Having this basis of understanding with those in my film, I have clearly noticed gives myself an advantage because I direct them as I would have wanted. It also reminds me as a producer to take better care of the actors in reference to how they are treated on set, if they are getting overheated or have gone through too many scenes without breaks. Looking at directors that were once actors (ie Ron Howard, Clint Eastwood) re enforces how I direct. I believe a director connects better with their actors, making the process on set easier and getting better performances from these actors because of the common language we speak. …show more content…

After joining this team I have started trying to create more non-linear timelines for my my scripts. In the same vein, I also was the first in my department to venture into documentaries. I was the first to enter any documentary into one of our festivals. In this political climate with “fake news” it is more important than ever to show the truth of humanity in arts and

But, no one can tell you what you are and aren’t capable of doing, and accomplishing such feats are entirely up to you. You just have to put your mind up to the task, and once you do that anything’s possible. Literature like many others things didn’t make much sense when I was young. I grew up in a country where literature seemed to be non-existent or just buried within heaps of school textbooks which forced a generation of Nepalese kids to put creativity in the shadows. However, moving to a country with such a rich literary past changed the story completely. Literature at first seemed foreign but once I started devouring books, it just became natural. For me literature bridged the gap between English and logic.…
