His responses on the Overeating Questionnaire indicated he presented in accurate and consistent description of his eating patterns. He does have a tendency to eat after hunger is satisfied to a significant degree. He may be inclined toward unsafe dieting practices such as yo-yo dieting. His cravings are high and he does eat as a way to achieve emotional comfort. Mr. Hollingsworth rationalizes his food intake. His body image is closely tied to his personal identity. Mr. Hollingsworth has the social resources to the list if needed. They were no other indicators of significant anxiety, depression or undue stress in his life at this time.
The SCL-R-90 showed Mr. Hollingsworth is experiencing mild symptoms in the areas of nervousness, dizziness, feeling critical of others, irritation, low energy, crying easily, temper outburst, self blame, worry, his feelings being easily hurt, heart racing, sore muscles, trouble catching his breath, body numbness, Disturb sleep, body weakness, restlessness, …show more content…
Hollingsworth's pattern of responses on the PAI suggested he presented himself with the tendency to deny, shortcomings to which most individuals would admit. He also has a tendency to present himself in a favorable light and may either deny, repress or be reluctant to acknowledge personal limitations. Overall his results do not show marked elevations except on the somatization scale. The scale indicates his perception of his physical functioning is likely compromised by his numerous health problems. He may also tend to focus on his health and his health problems may be the focus in his social interactions. His self concept appears to be intact and positive. Interpersonally he is friendly and has a normal degree of assertiveness and compassion. His perception of ongoing stress is low and his social supportive network is within normal
