As a health conscious individual and as a health and social care student, my enthusiasm has always been geared towards good health, particularly on the impact of nutrition on reinforcing and maintaining quality health. The rise in nutrition related issues, such as obesity, demonstrates the increasing need of nutritionists and dietitians in providing guidance on this matter and reaching out to individuals who require guidance, especially as I believe that nutrition related illnesses result not only in physical ailments, but affect one’s mental health too.

Aiming to become a qualified practitioner in this field, I am aware of the importance of particular skills such as communication and interpersonal skills, especially as I will be required
