More than Just a Place
“Home sweet home,” it takes some people a long time to get there and others no time at all. It is a place where a person should feel relaxed and comfortable, in harmony with their surroundings. It is a place of refuge and its doors should always be open. It can be where you go to after a long day of work and something you strive for. The Merriam Webster Dictionary defines it as one 's place such as a house or apartment where a person lives. It’s a place where many people have spent their whole life in search of. This wonderful, yet sometimes hard to find the place is called, home. There are many different definitions of people. To some people it is that of their home country, to some it may be where they are born and raised, while to others it is their family that is home. Does the word home mean something more than this simple definition? Isn’t a home more than just a building? We seek shelter from the storm there, whether it is the weather or just one of life 's little problems. This comfort zone also provides us a place to put our head at night, safe from the evils of society. I believe home has a great influence in the way we live, which is why many people spend lots of time looking for a home. There is a saying that home is where the heart is and too many people that reigns true.
