Moony Falls Research Paper

The second day that we spent there a small group went hiking for six miles down to Moony Falls and beyond to the Beaver Dam. To get to Moony Falls we had to climb down this steep rocky area and part of it we had to go through some caves and had to climb down ladders. It was well worth it once we got to the bottom. We left the beautiful falls and continued on our adventure looking for the Beaver Dam. We had to hike through some small streams several times as well as the usual walking through the forest and on the trail. Some of the time we were not sure of where the trail was and had to do a little trail blszing through the beautiful countryside. Sadly our stay there came to an abrupt end. The third day we were there we had to leave at two thirty in the morning and we were woken up at two to take down the tents and finish packing up. We were soon on our way walking in the pitch black with flashlights. I ended up being dead last with a couple of leaders helping a man get to the helicoptor pad who could not hike out. As we went along we picked up stragglers and helped them along. About a mile before we got to the dreaded switchbacks Kirk a neighbor of mine who participates in ironmen, trialthalons, and marathons all the time came and took away my pack and took three others as well and ran the rest of the way to the top with them and came back for some more. Everyone agreed that the waterfalls were the highlight. Even though it was physically exhausting I felt that I had made a big accomplishment and I have looked back several times on the amazing experience that I had hiking the beautiful Saupi hike. There is a slight chance that I can go to Saupi again this winter with my dad and I cannot wait to go
