MINDFULNESS Mindfulness is an act of learning to direct one 's attention to their experiences as they unfolds in every moment, and accepting them with open-minded curiosity. Mindfulness trains us to respond skilfully to whatever is happening at that moment, both good and bad things, instead of worrying about what might happen or what has happened (Katherin, 2012). Very remarkable alterations of the structures and functions of the human brains that improve the quality of both feeling and thought that are acquired through mindfulness practice have been shown through studies of the imaging. The main reasons why mindfulness should be taught in school is the fact that it has a positive impact on the students ' well-being mentally as mentioned above. It also has a positive impacts on a wide range of physical and mental health conditions on the individuals who practice it, it also improves learning and cognition, emotional and social skills as well as improving wellbeing among adults (Katherin, 2012). Very little research has been done about mindfulness among the young people as compared to among the adults, with studies carried out so far having some methodological limitations such as limited use of control groups or randomisation and small numbers. These have resulted in tentative conclusions in the studies among the young people.
