His speech is considered a Testimonial appeal because he is a celebrity. He said, “What I wish to speak to you about today has little or nothing to do with celebrity—save for this brief reference”(line 20-21), to point out that he is not speaking as a celebrity but as a person with Parkinson’s. Due to his fame, many people will be willing to listen to his testimony.
