It felt like I am learning something about the First Nation when I was reading the novel. Reading the novel, it seemed that the main character was actually telling me the story how each events really happened. The main character seemed really calm despite the events that were happening. It also seemed that she didn’t care about what was happening to her brother but in reality she really do. Although, I find this novel a bit hard to read because of the switching between the current time and the flashbacks in the main character’s mind. I had to write down the events in a separate paper to be able to visualize the events and what was really happening in the story. There were also parts in the story that was a little bit difficult for me to understand and visualize maybe because it not something familiar to me
