Employers should not be able to enquire about health threatening activities considering these activities do not affect the performance of the employee. The libertarian approach best supports my view considering as stated in (Shaw & Barry, 2016, p. 114) “a libertarian feels as long as you are not doing something that interferes with anyone else’s liberty, then no person, group, or government should disturb you in living the life you choose”. Therefore, when an employer is questioning how an employee is conducting them self-outside of work it is an invasion of privacy.
