They payment back in the 1800s was terrible. The workers didn’t get paid the right amount of money that they deserve. From the years 1875 to 1885 they worked 9.9 hours daily. That is a lot of hours to be working and some of those jobs must have been terrible depending on the working conditions. Then from 1886 to 1891 that number only dropped. It went to 9.9 hours in 1875 to 9.4 hours in 1891. But during the years 1875 to 1879 they were paid very little money. In 1875 the workers were paid 169.2 and then in 1876 they were paid 137.9. Different type of labor unions back then were too busy to even notice what was going on with the workers. They were to busy fighting against each other because there was a huge labor interest back then so they would miss out on what was going on with the workers that were already working (Doc F). Some of the strikes that the workers went on were deadly. Some innocent people were killed in the Homestead Strike. The workers, strikers, and detectives were killed in the strike (Doc G). People have the right to strike against something that they think is wrong. Some strike are not won unless people have been sacrificed or the employer's entire faculty members are striking and they have no one working for them (Doc
