“Because this HR department works assists in hiring for many of the courts and clerk’s offices as well as janitorial offices what I am looking for in a candidate can vary as far as experience and education. Minor prompted be to ask Ms. Minor not what she liked least about her job, but what did she consider the hardest part of her job?
“The hardest part of my job hands down is dealing with conflict. “Being in any HR role often means that you cannot cloud the line between being "friends" and being in an upper level leadership position. I have had times where some of the employees and I have become friends outside of work. This worked well until a conflict came up at work where I could not be their friend. I have to be able to distinguish the friendship and my roles as an HR professional. That can be hard, especially if you are having to let go of an employee that you consider a friend.”
