These organizations offer about 15-20 smoothie choices while Jamba has a selection of about 40 fruit smoothies to choose from. These competitors also do not offer oatmeal, coffee, pizzas, or trial mixes. Juice it Up and Surf City Squeeze use some artificial flavors, syrups and sugars in their smoothies, while Robeks uses real fruit and juices like Jamba.
Lastly, you have the millions of small mom and pop business that try and compete in the large smoothie category. Most of these competitors have about one hundred plus locations in the United States, while Jamba Juice has over 700 locations in the United States. Jamba has also announced it plan to franchise its brand, open stores outside the United States and go global in 2011. No other competitor has future plans to expand internationally.
