When the therapist met With the client at school, the therapist did check the client reporting any behavioral issues or conflict at home or at school and client reported that she feels good and happy as she did lots of activities during the weekend and she is excited because she has a lot to do during this weekend as well with her mother. The client reported that she feels tired and sleepy as she has to stay last night for a long time to prepare herself for the testing at school. The client reported that she feels excited because the mother brought a group of fun, beautiful dolls last week and she will bring the last group of dolls next weekend. When the therapist validates the client's emotions and behavior, acting in this way when she felt scared because of the darkness, the client smiled and asked the therapist if she did well and the therapist reported that she did an awesome job. When the therapist asked the client about what she did during the weekend and what was the most joyful experience she had, the client reported that she spent time playing games on the new computer, as well as buying the first group of the dolls that she asked her mother to have them long time ago. The client reported that she feels happy as her aunt is pregnant and she would like to have a boy while the client would like her to have a girl. When the therapist continued psycheducating the client about the steps of dealing with the fears of darkness by validating her thoughts and feelings, suggesting to be closer to the light switches, have the battery reachable around the house, process why client afraid being in darkness, ask the father to eliminate the scary shadows at home, and teach the client how she can earn prizes for facing the darkness, the client reported that she will do this step and will ask her father to afford the supplies that the therapist told her, the client reported that she asked her father to read the list that the therapist wrote it for the client and he promised her that he will buy it for her shortly.
