Instructor Starr, I believe a person could be more conversational by engaging with their audience. Maybe an appropriate joke or story to break the ice, and then I think it will catch audience attention. Additionally, I think the body language and tone of voice will give the speaker an authoritative presence.

Briana, thanks for the warm welcome! I also believe this class will help us conquer this public speaking anxiety. I am happy to know I am not the only one dealing with this issue.
