Injustice Problem In America

There are many different things that can make a person upset. It has been said that the things that make you upset most are what drives your passion. Personally, the things that make me upset are situations in which an injustice occurs. These can include the many injustices we have seen on television and in the media. However, the injustice that makes me most upset are the ones that occur everyday, and sometimes without us knowing. I find that there is a serious problem in our education system here in America. The problem is not how we are being taught, the problem is that there is a stronger emphasis placed on sports than there are in actual academics. This problem is most apparent in high school. This issue affects me because I look at my younger brother and cousins and i want them to believe that they are not only good for how fast they can run, or how strong they are, but that they can work and build their brains up just as strong as his body and not have have to wear it out every single day playing a sport but can be just as successful and make twice the money in becoming any profession that his heart desires to be. This problem not only is reflected upon one race, but the entire nation. The United State’s education system has fallen to #29, this fall is due to the lack of emphasis on academics and more on sports. If we put more emphasis on academics than we did on sports, then becoming the world’s leading innovators once again would be no problem. Neither would finding cures to Cancer and AIDS.
