The content in the speaker’s introduction was good in the following aspects. First, it ideally described the challenging work of a surgeon, in doing a kidney transplant. Secondly, It painted a picture of how the medical robot can be a great step forward in modern medicine. The content also helped the audience to imagine themselves witnessing a kidney transplant process so the audience is able to follow along in the course of the speech. The speaker also clearly stated the key for his speech, in this case, the three types of medical robots. He simplified the task by explaining the specific tasks each of the types of the robots can accomplish. The speaker’s transitions were precise, for instance, he used words like “…not only...”, “…in addition to...”. His conclusion was precise even as he tried to highlight or review the need/importance of robots in modern medical practice. …show more content…
First of all, the speaker knew what he was talking about, he gave examples of real-life scenarios of how the three robots can be useful. He also used visual aids of real robots. Secondly, he spoke with clarity about the medical robots.
I thought the speaker had good credibility because he gave quotations and made a citation from a medical article that is nationally recognized and he also referenced known medical practitioner and university.
After noticing the speaker’s confidence during the speech, it became clear that his calmness and ability to speak clearly, his ability to refer to his notes and to use the power point at the same time and also his ability to ensure he was the source of the information he was giving made his delivery good.
This informative speech could have been improved with more body movement during the transitions and a good eye contact with the
