Within 3 minutes I was expecting to have a tangible presentation that can introduce and conclude the idea of discrimination and its effect on identity. The usage of images or a video relating to the Spongebob scene on identity would help to elaborate on the definition of identity, and make the presentation more interesting. I was brainstorming quite well during this spontaneous moment. I had everything planned out in my head and I was ready to create either a Prezi, or Mashup. It was later this day when my brother came to my room and asked what I was working on. I simply told him about my failures that i struggled through with the first video, and he laughed at me. Throughout that whole day he showed me how to incorporate music and slides into a video and how to space the clips out. He also let me watch videos on YouTube of how to use Movie Maker, which is a pretty good application to create videos. It was easy and concise and it definitely got the job done. First I had to be considerate of the audience members. So i picked music and images that they could understand or feel a connection towards. The age group i was going for this video was between ages 16-30. Not only was i considerate of the age group, but I also wanted to know a way to keep them from being bored when reading the informative text that were in the slides. Therefore, I included an energetic EDM based theme of music. I used the song Levels, by Avicii to create a more lively vibe in the classroom. I know that people are probably sleepy because of finals week, so I thought this would be a great way to wake them up.
