Weeks after starting my new job at Rue21 it seem liked I couldn 't adjust to my new workplace or becoming a new employee. Everything seems out of order as if there was no control or communication throughout the store going on. During the time of learning how things operate in the store was confusing. I would ask Ms. Nicki one thing and Mrs. Mashone would say do another! For example, I was on cashier one afternoon and I was ringing out a customer who wanted to pay with a check which I figured wasn 't a problem because Nicki said we accepted checks. Well, that afternoon it was Mashone working instead of Nicki and she saw me accepting a check and said "sorry Kendall we do not accept checks and haven 't for almost a year". Team building in the workplace is very essential for many of reasons. According to Red Shoes PR, INC there are 5 reasons why team building is important ("5 reasons why team,"2013). Facilities better communication, motivates employees, promotes creativity, develops problems solving skills, and breaks the barrier. Team building helps better communication between employees and management by that improves professional relations, quality of work, building trust and ensuring productivity. It overall improves the performance of the workplace as discussed previously. The main goal of team building is to improve productivity and motivation. Team building can also be a major way to build results. Learning how to work together effectively will create efficiency and knowledge. Team building or team bonding can be a great way to brainstorm new strategies for the company. Goals are achieved through team building and effective communication which ultimately lead to results. Every so often the main goal of team building is to improve productivity. Employees learn to work together effectively, which means their able to work more efficiently. That means less time correcting errors and reducing repetitive work. Team building often give employees the opportunity to find new ways to improve procedures that have repressed productivity. Interpersonal communication in the workplace is very substantial quality to have. Many people lack communication skill which causes major problems in the workplace. Having this skill can improve productivity. Every successful business knows the importance of productivity. A few reasons for improving productivity are for the customers, the company and also for the workplace. High productivity means a better working environment and a successful business. Also interpersonal communication helps with team building in the workplace. When increasing team building employees are motivated, breaking barriers and effective in problem solving. Learning how to work together increases the performance of the business and employees. Moving along it is always important to know that every employee is on the same page. To ensure that employees are on the same page employers should make sure everyone is communicating throughout the workplace. Effective communication leads everyone in the same direction and towards the same goal.
