Why should we follow Traffic Rules?
There are certain rules that have been prepared for the benefit of people and the idea of preparing these rules is not that they should be understood by the drivers, but it should also be understood through the cyclists, pedestrians and other people. People are recommended that they should be carefully observing all the rules and regulation and it is effectual to be careful, considerate and patient. Traffic rules of the roads are both the laws and the informal rules that may have been developed over time to facilitate the orderly and timely flow of traffic. With the replacement of ancient horse driven carts with cars and trucks, the speed of the traffic increased paving way for the need of smooth roads

These signs have got the very prominent role to play in the traffic system and they are made for the safety of people. According to the congress of Indian Roads, these signs and Traffic symbols have been categorized into 3 different categories- * Regulatory Signs or Mandatory Signs * Informatory Signs * Precautionary or Warning or Cautionary Signs

There are some manual regulation and hand signals that are mainly gestures and they are used for regulation of traffic. Traffic policemen would be using them and people need to have an understanding of the same.

These got introduced in 1920’s and they were mainly utilized for indication of road centerline. When traffic gradually started increasing then these were used for representing lanes. With the evolution of time, there have been ample of significant changes in the traffic rules and regulations.
