1. Objectives and purpose
The purpose of the Red Planet Constitution is to maintain a habitable, peaceful, sustainable, self-sufficient, and civilized society across the planet of Mars. Hopefully this society will thrive and expand into its own human colony.
Everybody is affected by the law and no exceptions are to be made based on social status, religion, ethnicity, or any other irrelevant characteristics.
The purpose of law is to govern a nation, as opposed to being controlled by arbitrary decisions of government officials.

Officers. Applicants must have a background in law enforcement, unarmed combat, and a clean criminal record. All applicants will be judged based on performance during previous jobs at law enforcements agencies.
Trials are held by the Crimson Court, an elite group of seasoned lawyers (hence, the need for lawyers on Mars) that stand for equality, justice, and believe that everybody has the right to a trial. The CC consists of the 7 (odd so there are no ties) top lawyers, based on cases won and years of experience. The outcome of all cases brought to the CC will be determined and the ruling of the court is final.
The legal right of the defendant is the presumption of innocence. The presumption of innocence is a principle that deems the accused innocent unless proven to be guilty.
The Crimson Court (CC) determines the outcome of issues that could not be settled outside of court and appoints lawyers to represent both sides of the dispute, the plaintiff and the defendant, if they cannot afford an attorney.
There will be a prison on Mars called Crag. Those who have been proven guilty, beyond reasonable doubt, of committing a crime will be sent to this prison.
