Through reviewing the literature surrounding the work life balance policies implementation in the UK construction industry, a number of examples verified that it is possible to incorporate the new innovation in order to achieve it. One of the most prominent examples is Balfour Beatty M1 construction project. The company conducted the employee’s survey in 2014 and found out that even though the majorly are happy to work for the company, 62 per cent acknowledged that balancing work and personal life was an issues. Some of the employees revealed that they felt a sense of pride when they see the product of their work, however, the long hours to commute home can be unbearable.
