Printing started off way back long ago. The was introduced in Europe by Johannes Gutenberg which is a goldsmith by profession around the year 1436. His press has made many contribution to the modern world and the world of typography. He has made printing easier , cheaper and faster compared to the traditional woodblock printing process. During his time he made a hand mould to create metal movable type. This has helped printing to be more efficient. There are a few significant contribution from the effects of printing in Europe and during the Industrial Revolution.
There are many significant contribution from the effect of printing in Europe such as the printing device. This particular device has made people printing a lot faster and easier. Before this, they used woodblock as a print. But after they have made the particular device, they hand mould to create a metal movable

This particular typeface started in Europe in the middle age and it has lasted until the 17th century. Humanist is the typeface that started around 1460 and it is less blocky than the blackletter font. After humanist, they typeface they used was Old Style. This typeface started off around the late 15th century . This particular font has a greater contrast between thick and thin strokes and more delicate serif tails. After old style, the typeface that emerged next was the Transitional typeface. This typeface has started off in the 18th century. This particular font has made thin strokes get thinner and thick strokes gets thicker. It also made the made the amount of serif tails increases. The modern typeface comes after transitional. This font started in 1784 by Italian printer Giambattista Bodoni. Last but not least, the typeface used was slab also known as the Egyptian was up until the 19th century.
