Immigrants do not have a negative impact on the economy of the Unites States. The United States has become the home to the greatest immigrant population. Many people are quick to judge when they hear the word immigrants and think “lazy people who want an easier and better life”; however, statistics prove that immigrants are hard workers who help the economy. Immigrants help the economy by creating businesses and employment, they improve the government’s fiscal situation, and they make America stronger. Economist commonly comply that the outcome of immigration in the United States economy are generally beneficial.
Immigrants help the United states economy by creating more jobs. Aguilar states that, “According to the national Venture Capital Association, over the last 20 years, immigrants have found, or helped to found, 25% public U.S companies” (Aguilar 1). Many immigrants are business owners. “According to the Small Business Administration, immigrants are 30 percent more likely to start a business in the united states than non-immigrants, and 18 percent of all small business owners in the united states are immigrants” (Furman 1). First generation immigrants’ own businesses in different industries and create jobs for low skilled and high skilled workers. Immigrants do not take away jobs from Americans, they create more jobs. Low skilled immigrants allow high skilled workers to prioritize their time to focus on work rather than doing non-related chores. Aguilar also states…
