This case study targets the lack of human rights and social change education throughout the country. The main goal of this movement was to help humans understand, protect, and fight for their rights. Loretta Ross, founder of the National Center for Human Rights Education, believed that in order for everyone to understand and protect their rights, they first must be knowledgeable about them. They must be able to know when their rights are being violated, when they are being abused, when they abuse someone else's, and how they can be protected. With the many recent injustices that society is facing, advocating for social change would be a weight lifted off so many people's shoulder. So many people are clueless of their rights and are taken advantage of. Parents along with teachers can help youths to understand their rights, and help to create a future that will not be so manipulative of the less fortunate. Youths today are so oblivious of what is happening in and around them, and without the proper training, they will grow up in a society where they believe that social injustices are ok. This is not the future that we want for the younger generations. Political leaders can actively and physically show citizens that they are not alone, and that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. They can get off their high horse, focus less of their enormous lifestyle, and provide resources that will help everyone overcome the fair of social injustice and leading outreach programs that will shed light on the issues.
