God made man and his people to be stewards of the earth. When God left the earth, he left his people to protect the earth and work the earth. God’s people have a responsibility to keep the earth in good shape for the future generations coming up, and they can do by using several different methods. Recycling is a way Christians can help preserve and restore the environment. Christians are honoring God by following the responsibilities he has given to them. Recycling helps decrease the amount of garbage going to the landfill, helps increase savings, and helps decrease greenhouse gas emissions.

Christians need to take action to preserve and help restore the earth. “The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it” (Genesis 2:15, New International Version). God left his people on earth to protect and preserve the creation he made. Honoring God by doing the work he has left for his people will help preserve the earth. Recycling is one of the ways that Christians can help restore and preserve the earth, God has left to them. There are cost benefits to recycling instead of sending the waste to the landfills. Recycling helps the environment from deteriorating by increasing the amount of money that is saved, by reducing the amount of greenhouse gases emitting from waste, and decreasing the amount of waste in landfills will help increase the lifespan of the landfills.
