Through this video, it can be shown to many people on a nationwide or even global scale. Without the availability of this video and others like it, the things that these people go through would never come to light. I can say, at least for myself, I had no idea of the dangers that these illegal immigrants faced crossing the border before I saw this documentary. Not only is the video widely useful in that respect, but through the use of Youtube, it can be witnessed globally by many people. Whether or not it is know by a lot of people or not is a different story, but it is at least available to those who want to know more about the issue. With this video, people can see what goes on through an illegal immigrant’s journey. Like “train-hopping” in Central America. These illegal immigrants will try to illegally get on a train while it is in motion to get across the border. And with that there is a lot of danger. Many people miss the train and will get caught underneath the train, which usually results in the result of a loss of a limb or limbs. Unbeknownst to me this sort of thing is a daily occurrence, and I would have never known about it if it weren’t for this video. The same applies to those who cross illegally inot the United States. While they still go into a world full of poverty, there are at least more jobs available in the United States then there are in their home countries. Otherwise they wouldn’t brave all the dangerous perils to get into the country in the first place. So they come into a country that not only has more of a job market, but they come into a country with a different language as well. With more immigrants coming in from Mexico and other countries there is a more diverse arrange of languages within our country the main language spoken here is English. Although in the countries close to the border of Mexico are more and more Spanish speaking, the main language is still English. We have different moral values as well, such as individualism. Whereas the illegal immigrants place more value on the family and supporting said family. A value that has been rising over time in the United States is definitely Equality. Although some people don’t see illegal immigrants as being able to have equal rights, when they establish their place in the United States they pay their taxes like any other citizen so why shouldn’t they be given equal rights like anyone else. One value that both the United States and Mexico and other countries have is the value of hard work. Both cultures place this as a very high value. While
