In Colombia, chronic illness is a public health problem affecting increasing significant numbers of people, as well as their families and their communities. Moreover, some people preferred to care their loves one at home so they continue to be bound with their relatives. To really understand how costs are disproportionately skew to chronic patients, the timing, methods and techniques for managing these patient populations are more important than ever. The fact is, the rising costs can be better managed if care-management resources are employed to ensure that at-risk patients are identified and interventions are made at the right time. How is the patients selected to have a procedure done or not?
Public Sector Health Care in Colombia plays an important role in deciding who is particularly needed the procedure done or not. This is how they function in their country. It has been suggested that the public sector health care system in Colombia is very much split into two group of people, those who want to contribute to their own treatment and those who are unable to. The rest of the population, the government subsidized and decided who can really have the procedure done and who cannot have it done.
In summary, Colombian Health Care System is very well constructed health system where many people other countries come to sick for treatment due to low cost payment and cheap and less expensive.
