Hitler displayed his intellectual power as he took advantage of the people of germany at the time that they were the most desperate. The use of propaganda and other manipulative techniques played a major key role in his push. Hitler's tactics were extremely successful, they set out many operations relating to the control of media.The Nazi’s controlled all forms of media/communication from books, tv,music movies, etc. Anything deemed as a threat or opposed theirs beliefs were eliminated from society. May 10th 1933 is significant day in Hitler’s rise as this was the day the party set out to burn the majority of the books, libraries and schools were raided. Helen Keller a famous american novelist stated “Tyranny cannot defeat the power of ideas”, burning of books was a clear violation of their freedom of speech. He determined that the one thing the german people all had in common was the hatred of the treaty of versaille.
