Eduardo Paes, the former mayor of the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil states “Globalization has produced a new level of interdependence among us. The economy and multinational supply chains do not abide by political boundaries. A computer ordered in Brazil is designed in California and assembled in several other countries. Economic integration was the first strong evidence of a new era.” Modern globalization has produced an age that countries depend on each other to benefit one another. Some countries become followers in this era, and other follow trying to find some benefit from the leaders. The economics of the country have the most substantial impact for the country. The BBC explains the benefits that China has with the U.S, "Chinese imports explain 44% of the decline in employment in manufacturing in the US between 1990 and 2007, according to a report by the Institute for the Study of Labor in Bonn." That why fighting the U.S will hinder the Chinese economics substantially. The Chinese president says that “No one will emerge as a winner in a trade war”.
