Essay about How Does Multitasking Effect Memory

The purpose of this project is to see how well people can remember the details of two or more tasks that they completed at the same time. My problem statement is how does multitasking effect memory. I was curious on this topic because I always hear my teachers say that multitasking is impossible and that the human brain can only focus on one thing at a time. So I decided to test that to see if they are actually correct. For my experiment, I will get a large group of people and then divide them into groups of about two or three people. I will have five groups in total. Each group will be asked to perform a certain task in a certain time limit. And as each group number increases, so will the number of tasks that they have to complete. For example, Group one will be given one task to complete and then be tested on it. Group two will be given two tasks to complete and then be tested on it. Group three will be given three tasks to complete and then be tested on it and so on. But as the number of tasks increases, their time limit to complete the tasks will also increase.
Almost all the research that I have done so far for this project involves what multitasking is, memory, and how the brain works. Memory is the faculty by which the mind stores and remembers information. It can also be described as something that has been remembered from the past or recollected. Multitasking is the handling of more than one task at the same time by a single person. So it basically means the…
