Occasionally in class, I may have a hard time understanding someone, or have a hard time hearing in class. There are also times where homework or classwork is hard to understand. My brother doesn’t have a hearing loss, so if you compare us doing school work. My brother would understand his homework much better than me because my hearing loss affects my comprehension. Therefore, I have to work twice as hard than he does to understand the same material. However, I can read lips where he can not. My brother is also a social person, and can jump into any conversation without a problem. I have a hard time being a part of a conversation because I usually get lost in a conversation. I get lost in a conversation because usually there will be lots of background noise like a cafeteria where there is a lot of people talking about many different things at once.
