Take a moment and picture yourself a year from now. You probably imagine yourself being the same size or smaller than you are now. You probably want to be able to run/walk a mile without having huge heart or breathing issues. You probably want to be healthy. Well if most of us continue to eat the way we do, none of what you imagine will be possible. Americans need to start eating healthier. An unhealthy diet is linked to four of the world’s top ten leading risk factor that cause death: high blood pressure, high blood glucose, overweight and obesity and high cholesterol (“New Consent Rules Threaten Public Health”). If we all start eating healthier now, we can increase our health for the better. After analyzing the terrible causes, dangerous effects and amazing solutions of a healthy diet, all of us will choose to eat healthy. Most people don’t know how to eat healthy because they often don’t know what the difference is between healthy and unhealthy. Unhealthy would be diets with high sugar intake and fats. Fast or processed foods increase your risk for a health issue. You must do enough physical activity to equal your amount of food intake to consider yourself healthy. A healthy diet also includes replacing trans fat with more fruits, vegetables, whole grains and nuts (“New Consent Rules Threaten Public Health”).
