When picturing school lunches, many people may think of greasy and oily food that is unappealing and unhealthy. Is this a reality, or just a fiction? There is large controversy over whether this view should be altered or not. About 19,000 schools in the United States currently serve fast food in their cafeteria. Since this food is cheaper to make, many schools may find it a better option than healthier lunches. People on the other side of the debate, however, may argue that schools should serve healthy lunches since they are crucial to reduce obesity. Additionally, students may feel better after eating healthy since there is a link between how someone eats and how he or she feels. Schools in the United States of America should serve healthier lunches to lower childhood obesity, promote local agriculture and small businesses, and increase school profits. Children can be diagnosed with plagues and diseases due to unhealthy lunches. Unhealthy lunches can cause schools start losing money. Furthermore, local agriculture could go out of business if healthy lunches are not served to students in school. Children in schools and their parents should look into school menus to find the healthiest options to eat. If students do not eat the unhealthy lunches in schools, the boycotting could cause the schools to stop serving these meals. Also, parents could contact the school to find out how nutritious the food being served is. This could be key to keeping a child
