- This model is well in community networks and it is easy to query data for the owner.
Disadvantage:
- This Model relies on the participant to submit data so there is likelihood of data duplication from multiple providers.
- Maintainance for this model is expensive and each organization must have a fully functional EHR that utilize the CCD documents (HIE, 2017).
Federated Model: In this model all the information stays at the center point and member hospital and they agree to share their information between them. Health information data stay at its source and healthcare providers control over their own patient health infiormation.
Advantage:
- This model prevents some of the potential problem related with privacy and security that are arise from keeping data in one large pool.
- It also removes the question of data ownership that has been arise stumbling block for some health information exchange looking to connect fiercely protective participants (Bersneski, 2015).
Disadvantage:
- This model consist various variations so the independent database can be consistent or
