Health Care Reform for Our Future
There is so much controversy in regards to health care reform, that no matter who can or will come up with ideas, there will always be those who are for and those who will be opposed. The Affordable Care Act of 2010, which is better known to the general public as Obamacare is no exception, “Affordable Care Act (ACA) for short, is the new health care reform law in America and is often called by its nickname Obamacare”, (Affordable Care Act Summary, n.d.). Upon its creation, there were going to be those who would meet it with great enthusiasm and approval, and those who would fight bitterly against it until the bitter end. With now a new administration coming soon, all the pros and cons to Obamacare may soon come to an end when the new sheriff in town repels and/or changes the laws of the land and incorporates his own new ideas and plans for a better, less costly reform plan for health care. However, for just a moment, this paper will leave the what is, and what is to come, and discuss “what I think should be included in a future reform of health care system, the financial operating changes that would improve efficiency, and any aspects of transparency to the public”, (HCA-240 Assignment 7, 2016).
To start, my idea for health care reform would begin with preventative services. Preventative services would include for both children and adults: vaccinations, annual exams, (like physicals, mammography’s and such), mastectomies and breast…
