In this situation, Junior tricks Pecola into entering in his house, and showing her a sign of trust, with a kitten, but turns out to have a vicious impact on Pecola. “There’s nobody here. My ma’s gone out, and my fathers at work. Don’t you want to see the kittens?” Pecola learns to not trust everyone, and learns that nice things can also have a deeper meaning.When she meets Junior, she learns what it means to trust someone.
