When you get into high school and you hear all of the seniors and your parents saying “these next four years will go by fast,” you never believe it. Throughout freshman and sophomore year students begin to think “Will I ever be out of here?” Junior year you begin to think about your future, and all of a sudden one day you’re walking into your first day of senior year. High school really does go by faster than students would ever imagine, one day you’re setting up freshman classes and the next day you’re applying for college. Freshman year I had what seems like tons of friends, I was in volleyball and I became a cheerleader. I had a best friend that I did everything with and a boyfriend that I thought I loved. Now that seems like ages ago, and those two people seem like strangers. Little did I know that being a cheerleader wasn’t cool anymore, after volleyball I stopped being “popular” and I lost most of my friends that I thought would always be there for me. Then came the day when my boyfriend and I broke up, I remember thinking to myself, “This is the worst day of my life.” I began to get average grades instead of the straight A’s that I was used to, and my parents began to fight. When summer came around I was so excited to be able to finally hang out with my friends whom were still in junior high. That’s also the summer I met my new best friend, I was even closer with Abbie than I was with previous friends. That entire summer we spent all our days at the river and all…
