Personal Narrative: My First Day Of Middle School

People everywhere. This is my first day of middle school. I walked into the huge school compared to my elementary school. There were people everywhere getting their schedules and with their friends. There were people that I knew and people I didn't know. I went and got my second schedule just so I didn't get lost during the day. I found some of my friends and started talking with them because school wasn't going to start for another 5 minutes. But eventually I headed up to my homeroom class with my backpack since I didn't have a locker quite yet.

When I got in there I saw some of my friends had the same homeroom as me and I went and sat down next to my friend. The teacher, Mrs.Smith had now started the class and was talking about homeroom and what it is.Then she told us to line up so we could go get our lockers. She gave us a little slip that had our locker number and combination on it. Mrs.Smith said practice opening your locker 10 times, so I did so. It was pretty easy so after ten times I put my backpack and all my other stuff I didn't need for homeroom in my locker. Once we got back into homeroom she just told us about middle school and stuff like that. I moved onto my other classes which we just did these weird games trying to remember all the other students names.

Wow once I got down to the lunch room it was a MADHOUSE. So I went over to find my friends and I sat by them. I was talking to them about all my classes until Mr. Goveia came over and started talking about the same thing. I had this same principle in elementary school, but he moved over to middle school and here he is now. Lunch went pretty well. I got back up to my locker put my stuff away and went to 5th period, reading class. All we did in there was make some sort of portrait of

It was the beginning of high school, the start of a new chapter in my life; after coming into the school, the mall looked like the feeding of the five thousand. St. Thomas More has over a thousand students, and every single one was there on that first day, trying to find the way to their new classes just like me. Walking through the halls of St. Thomas More with the unfamiliar smell of the classrooms reminded me of what lies ahead. I thought it was going to be difficult, because I wouldn’t see anyone I know. Fortunately, some of my old friends from St. Pius were in my gym class, so I was glad that I would not be alone in gym class.…

My first day of middle school was hell, I have always been good at school. My grades have never been bad and neither have my actions and or attendance. Probably from having a mom that is also a teacher. I look at that as a good thing though, watching kids just goof off and not come to school then high school rolled around and it was like I got to look down on them because they did not prepare for bigger and better things. School wasn't bad for me because it was hard, it was bad because i was always shy in school.…

Have you ever had a moment when you realized you were wrong? If you have you can imagine how I felt when I found out the harsh truth about, in my opinion, one of the major issues that has been overlooked in this country. No one really thinks about it until you really need to, but it is bigger than the “black live matter” movement that is plaguing our country right now. Don’t worry, we still have time to change it just takes a handful of people to make a difference. I just need your eyes for a moment and you can lend us a hand in fighting this battle.…
