There is no doubt about it climate change and global warming exist today. Climate change is a present world issue that is causing damage to our planet. Humans actions are the cause of global warming. Even though we will have to change our lifestyles tremendously, people need to reduce and change their negative impact on the environment because we will have to suffer from the consequences of climate change that is harming our planet. Climate change has begun and our world as we know it is warming. The earth’s temperature is increasing more rapidly than ever before. Throughout the world, humans are seeing changes in precipitation, which results in more hurricanes and floods. “Global warming is causing climate patterns to change. However, global warming itself represents only one aspect of climate change” (Environment Protection Agency 1). Multiple signs of evidence showing climate change shows there are more droughts world-wide and more severe heat waves. The Earth’s temperature is expected to rise another eight degrees over the next century. That might not sound like a tremendous amount, but it is only going to get worse if nothing is done about it. …show more content…
Due to the pollution from humans, people are producing more greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere. Most of greenhouse gases are from the burning of fossil fuels, industrializing processes, and emitting gases to the air. Greenhouse gases wrap around the earth and suffocate it, causing the climate to rise in temperature. Higher global temperatures result in dryer forests, which means more forest fires. This will cause more carbon dioxide in the air and make the global temperature rise more, which would cause melting ice, in addition to, causing droughts, ocean acidification, and species extinctions. Because of humans, the climate change causes many unfortunate possibilities to the world that will produce adverse living
