Self-Reflection Speaking When I think of the words “public speaking” I do not seem to get any nervous or anxious feelings in my mind. If someone were to come up to me and say you need to stand up in front of thousands of people and give a public speech, I would probably have a very nervous look of fear in my facial expressions. If I were to give a speech in public I think that I would be very nervous but I know that I would be surprised at how well I would do in front of a big group of people. I want to make my speech organized all the way through so that I can deliver it and have back up support if anyone in my audience has questions. I think one of the most important parts I focus on when giving a speech or talking to people is reflecting back on the most important details so it will stay with the audience I was talking to and they will have something to remember after I am done. I think that I have a very outgoing personality and cannot really picture myself getting stage fright, but at the same time it is one of my bigger fears. I sometimes get nervous about what people are thinking about my speech when I am giving it but if I don’t judge people from the audience then I will have the mindset when I am on stage that people from the audience are not judging me. Lastly, I think that I will be able to get up in front of people and give a speech without getting extremely nervous. I haven’t had much experience with speaking in front of big groups but hopefully by the end of this semester I will be very good at it without having any nervous feelings if someone asked me to give a public
