Executive coaching and consulting address the emerging field of IOP because of the ways these roles are influencing the link between leadership development and organizational effectiveness. One of the most widely topics in research is organizational change and leadership. Executive coaching has been credited for supporting change objectives by helping leaders develop the behaviors associated with managing change more effectively (Grant, 2014). Another testament that executive coaching is suited for the emerging field of IOP is the number of practitioners highlighting the demand for “individual focused” styles of practice (Silzer & Cober, n.d.) that is supported by coaching.
