Evolution of Batman Batman is a fictional, crime-fighting superhero staring in American comic books published by DC Comics, as well as many television shows, movies, and is widely ranged from places all over the world as the savior of Gotham. The character was created by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger, and first appeared in Detective Comic, where his character was originally named "the Bat-Man," the character is also referred to by such epithets as the "Caped Crusader", the "Dark Knight", and the "World 's Greatest Detective".
Since his debut in the mid-1940s, the character of batman has undergone metamorphoses from a bright hero into a dark, vigilante, anti-hero. This metamorphosis can be exemplified by the comic book that started

Even though he is claimed as the crime-fighting superhero, many directors tried vigorously to return the character to his dark roots, starting with the creation of The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller, spewing into the The Dark Knight Rises in 2012, directed by Christopher Nolan which shows the life of Batman eight years after the incident with the Joker, played by Heath Ledger. Christian Bale is forced to return to his city of Gotham to fight the terrorist known as Bane, with the help of not Robin, but Selina. The Dark Knight Returns and The Dark Knight Rises shows the difference of the other Batman movies. It shows the dark side that Batman has to him, as well as the hope that he has to save the people and the city that he loves. Batman is named one of the best, according to critics. In May 2011, Batman was placed second on IGN 's Top 100 Comic Book Heroes of All Time, following the world 's savior, Superman. Batman, then, was merely a 20 page comic book about him saving the city and fighting the crime that roamed the streets. This superhero was issued with the hopes of giving the children a dream; a hope. Batman is shown as a brave, superficial superhero. When he first came out and even in today’s world, children want to be like Batman. The era of this passionate character sprung, when the creators wanted to bring their dream of Batman to life for the world, Which shows Batman now. DC Comics gave Batman a vision for the world, through a tiny television screen, which has now jumped to the big screen in movie theaters across the world.
