In life we are always opposed with problems both mentally and physically. How one overcomes said problem is mainly focused on whether or not they are willing to change themselves in order to become a better person in the end. In the film Batman Begins co-written and directed by Christopher Nolan the hero Bruce Wayne has many challenges to overcome. From fighting an army of highly trained assassins to saving a whole city; however, the biggest challenge he has to overcome is himself and his fears. In the film when Bruce is a child, he has a traumatic accident which leads him to have a fear of bats, he carries that fear with him into his adult life as a symbol of the death of his mother and father. In the hero's journey cycle, each step plays a very crucial part in the story line, but some are more important than others in the sense of what progresses the movie’s message.In Batman Begins, all though most of the steps seem important, the ones that carry on the message and the meaning of the film are going to be meeting the mentor, crossing the threshold, central ordeal , and resurrection. Finally they believe they are ready to make their approach towards their goal. What happens next is the hero in the story takes a huge fall and is at their central ordeal. This happens when bruce is faced with his old enemy Ra’s al Ghul . Bruce takes the fall and believes he needs to improve from that. The following step from here is the resurrection. This is the part when the hero is a changed man and he usually has a defeated whatever it is holding them back.In the film its when Batman and Ra’s al Ghul are alone and finally meet face to face this is when Bruce finds his inner peace once he defeats him
