Euthanasia should not be allowed Euthanasia (aka Mercy killing) is a practice to intentionally end a life to relieve pain and suffering. This may sound like it’s a good thing but not when it’s being used in a wrong way and given without proper documentation. Euthanasia shouldn’t be allowed because it could be a means for health care cost containment, it devalues human life, and it gives doctors too much power. Euthanasia could become a means for health care cost containment because to assist in putting a patient to rest cost less than providing a treatment to a patient. If euthanasia is allowed doctor won’t have to worry about their funds. A quote brings this to the light is “With greater and greater emphasis being placed on managed care, many doctors are at financial risk when they provide treatment for their patients. Legalized euthanasia raises the potential for a profoundly dangerous situation in which doctors could find themselves far better off financially if a seriously ill or disabled person "chooses" to die rather than receive long-term care.”(Euthanasia.com) If euthanasia is allowed doctor don’t have to worry which means they won’t try to really help you medically. They will suggest this to keep them financially clear and worry-free. While everyone is being put to rest because the doctor makes it seem like there isn’t another way. Which mean that they won’t have a treatment plan anymore for people who want to fight. The healthcare system may replace that…
