Euthanasia or PAS is an option for terminally ill people that have the option to end their suffering and pain. The process is quick and dignified using injections of potassium chloride for a peaceful death. Euthanasia is for elderly, sick, and disabled people. Based on interviews with 355 oncologists, they found that about 5% had performed euthanasia and 5% had performed PAS ("Euthanasia Suicide Mercy-killing Right-to-die Physician Assisted Suicide Living Wills Research." ). PAS is someone assisteding the patient with drugs to help them in end their own life. In the past year a study shown that 4% of oncologists had performed euthanasia or PAS.
