There is always some type of ethical dilemma happening every minute on this world. Whether is choosing between personal behaviors or medical decisions. In this case I will explained my point of view on Euthanasia. I will compared with other worldview’s options and what they might think is the correct way to act when it comes to ending someone’s life as an act of mercy.
Ethical Dilemma
It is a difficult decision for a family member to make in regards allowing your love one to end her life due to a medical diagnosis. In order to respect life we need to understand that God gave us life and that we created us in his image, this means that we need to have faith in him and accept his decisions. According to a Christian worldview in order to achieve salvation we need to have faith in Jesus. According to Hiles and Smith (2014), belief and behavior are two thing that need to be together in order to demonstrate faith. As well as we need to obey the Ten Commandments in which number 6 says one should not murder, ending someone’s life no matter what the situation is consider doing wrong. We should not do any bad in order to seek something that we presume is good, such as ending someone’s life due to lack of desire to be alive.
Evaluation
The consequences of the resolution proposed by the Christian worldview is that the life of the person will be preserved and no action against the laws of God will be taken. By doing this I feel that everyone related to Joni will be closer to God and will learn to appreciate life. This will eventually open new doors for everyone around Joni. Joni might have to learn to live with her condition and by this making her and everyone around her stronger and a step closer to Jesus, by having faith. …show more content…
Each decision has its consequences and it all depends on your worldview. Choosing to conserve life will obey God’s rules and will bring you closer to him. Deciding to terminate life will have different meanings depending on your worldview and beliefs. For example a doctor would probably have a different approach and beliefs towards this topic compared to a pastor. The important thing is to stay true to your beliefs and realize what God wants us to do with our life. We has a purpose for us and we should find it by seeking wisdom.
