Introduction:
Ethics is basically the branch of the philosophy that deals with making a difference among right and wrong. In the business world the ethics have taken a essential place in this modern time and every successful corporation have a complete code of ethics that have to be followed by the management, workers and other stakeholders of the company. Ethical behavior in the workplace make it a perfect place for the people working there without any discrimination and this ethical behavior is the main cause of the successful running of the businesses in all parts of the world. The company in the current scenario seen to be failed to give a exemplary punishment to the Mr. Murphy that can prove very dangerous for the company in the future and the consequences of this decision may bring long term disaster for the company. This act of the company give encouragement and motivation to other workers of the company to not to follow the ethical rules of the company and make big frauds as they will be freed without any punishment as Mr. Murphy freed. The decision of the company sends a very wrong message to the other employees of the company. The company at least should remove the Mr. Murphy from his place and should take the relevant legal actions against the culprits.
Internal control serves as excellent tool in identifying the frauds and other misconducts on time. The lack of internal control policies in the company is the main cause that Mr. Murphy makes fool company for such a long time. As if the proper internal control policies were present in the company the frauds of the Mr. Murphy could be identified in initial stages and this can save the company from all the consequences it faced…
